Add a little festive greenery to your home with our beautiful Christmas Succulent Bowl! Featuring two distinctive succulents, Haworthia 'Big Band' and Echeveria purpusorum, this miniature arrangement brings together contrasting shapes, textures and shades of green.

The architectural, striped foliage of the Haworthia sits beautifully alongside the compact, sculptural rosette of the Echeveria, creating a lovely living display finished with seasonal Christmas decorations.

Perfect for a windowsill, coffee table or shelf, or as a thoughtful gift for someone who loves plants.

And the best part? Once the festive season is over, simply remove the Christmas decorations and enjoy your succulent bowl as an attractive year-round plant arrangement. With the right care, both plants can continue to grow and thrive for many years to come!

Plant Care Guide

☀️ Light

Both succulents enjoy bright positions, although they have slightly different light requirements.

  • Haworthia 'Big Band': Prefers bright, indirect light and can tolerate slightly shadier positions. Avoid strong, prolonged direct sunlight.

  • Echeveria purpusorum: Enjoys plenty of bright light to maintain its compact rosette shape. A bright windowsill with some gentle morning sunshine is ideal.

A bright position with plenty of indirect natural light is a good compromise for both plants.

💧 Watering – Please Read

Your succulent arrangement is planted in a decorative bowl without drainage holes, so watering requires a little extra care.

Succulents store water in their leaves and are much happier being slightly underwatered than overwatered.

  • Allow the compost to dry out completely before watering again.

  • Use a small amount of water at a time, carefully directing it onto the compost around the plants.

  • Avoid pouring water directly over the leaves or into the centre of the Echeveria rosette.

  • Never soak the compost or allow excess water to collect at the bottom of the bowl.

  • Water much less frequently during autumn and winter when growth naturally slows.

Always check the compost before watering rather than following a fixed schedule. Overwatering is one of the most common causes of succulent problems.

🌡️ Temperature

Both plants are best kept indoors in a warm, bright position. Normal household temperatures of around 15–25°C are suitable. Keep away from cold draughts, frost and direct heat from radiators.

🌱 Compost & Feeding

Succulents need a free-draining growing medium to keep their roots healthy. A specialist cactus and succulent compost is ideal.

During spring and summer, feed sparingly with a diluted cactus and succulent fertiliser, following the manufacturer's instructions. Feeding isn't necessary during the winter resting period.

✂️ Maintenance & Growth

Remove any dried or damaged leaves as they appear to keep your arrangement looking its best.

The Echeveria may gradually produce offsets (small baby plants) around its base, while the Haworthia can also produce new growth over time. As the plants mature, you may eventually wish to separate and repot them into individual containers to give them more room to grow.

🎄 After Christmas

Once the festive season has passed, simply remove the ribbon, Christmas decorations and greeting tag. Your bowl can then become a permanent little feature in your home, providing year-round greenery long after the Christmas decorations have been packed away.

🐾 Pet-Friendly Plants

All plants in our arrangements have been selected with pet-friendly homes in mind.

A little festive treat for your home that you can enjoy long after Christmas has come and gone!
